Sharon Kay Snodgrass, age 79, of Spencer, passed away Thursday morning, June 7, 2018, at IU Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born in Bloomington on April 20, 1939, the daughter of James Morgan & Lucille (Hendricks) Weaver.
She was a 1957 graduate of Spencer High School. She previously worked at Owen Valley Junior High School, the Owen County Clerk’s Office, and Dr. William D. Kenfield, DDS.
She attended the Spencer United Methodist Church during her younger years, and was a former member of the Delta Theta Tau.
She enjoyed making ceramics, traveling, working in flowers, and cooking.
She is survived by her husband whom she married June 21, 1957, Phillip L. Snodgrass, two sons, Jeff (Jill) Snodgrass of Martinsville and Bill (Tami) Snodgrass of Spencer, grandchildren, Tom Snodgrass, Cody Snodgrass, Chase (Crystal) Snodgrass, Shauna Berryman, and Shandri (Matt) Walls, ten great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Marilyn VanDeventer of Bloomington, Carolyn (Ernest) Evans of Freedom, and Sue (Bob) Bruce of Delphi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, James Weaver, and a grandson-in-law, Tim Berryman.
Funeral service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 11, 2018. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 P.M., and Monday from 1 P.M. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the IU Hospice House in Bloomington through the funeral home.
