Nina~Caroline (Hitchcock) Babcock, 75, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the I.U. Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana. Nina~Caroline was born in Alma, Michigan, on July 2, 1942 to Clifford and Lydia (Bradley) Hitchcock. Nina~Caroline was a member of the Owen Valley Christian Fellowship Church of Spencer, Indiana. She loved everyone, was friends to many, and volunteered for many years at the Owen County Center for Women's Ministries in Spencer, Indiana.
She is survived by her children, Wendy (Dan) Goewey of Aurora, Illinois, Martin (Cindy) Strait of Pittsburg, Texas, Rick Strait of Midland, Michigan, Sherri (Brad) Crichfield of Spencer, Wade Babcock of Boyd, Texas, Curtis Babcock of Virginia, Jennie (Alan) Frizzell of Tampa, Florida, Lynda Balhoff of Bay City, Michigan, 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, brother, Clifford "Pal" (Alice) Hitchcock, brother-in-law, Vernon Smith and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, William "Bill" Victor Babcock, sister, Mary Ellen (Hitchcock) Smith, and daughter-in-law, Fame Babcock.
Memorial services will be held at 1PM, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Owen Valley Christian Fellowship Church, 338 State Highway 43, Spencer, Indiana. Pastor Bill Grandi will officiate.
A receiving of family and friends will take place 12PM-1PM at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Center for Women's Ministries.
