Marcella Stutz Kinney lived a healthy life for 105 years in Spencer, Indiana. She was born September 5, 1912 in Freedom, Indiana to Cleveland and Grace Stutz. In 1934 she married John Howe Kinney who preceded her in death in 1979. Marcella and John had three children, Stanley Kinney of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Larry Kinney who preceded her in death in 2015, and Suanne Kinney Jordan of Camas, Washington. Her son-in-law, Dan Jordan, and daughter-in-law, Marybeth Mahoney were also an important part of her family. Marcella was also loved by four grandchildren, Jill Kinney, Chris Kinney, Ann Jordan Bowlus, and Kimberly Jordan, and three great grandchildren, Anaiya Jordan, Zakiah Jordan, and Axel Bowlus.
Marcella was not only a homemaker but worked several jobs over the years. She retired from the Indiana University Registrar's Office in 1982 at the age of 70.
Her family enjoys all of the wonderful quilts she has made over the years. The beautiful flowers and plants she raised were a testimony to her green thumb and admired by everyone. She loved feeding her family and friends from the beautiful vegetable gardens that she planted and tended until she was 103.
Marcella was also preceded in death by her brothers John Stutz, Warren Stutz, and sister Lucille Stutz Furry.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor, Dr. Diane Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
