Linda R. (Hughes) Denny, 74 of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Linda was born in Monticello, Kentucky on May 17, 1945 to Marshal F. Hughes and Gladys D. (Hill) Hughes. The world lost a beautiful soul and Heaven gained a special angel as Linda R. Denny lost a courageous long hard fought battle to cancer. She was the light of her family's life. She lived her life for her family. She touched many lives through the years through her daycare, right up until she couldn't any longer. She was the best cook, second to none. She enjoyed hosting for holidays, spending time with her family and supporting her grandsons through the years of church, school and sporting events. She also loved to travel, especially to the beach. She was of the Baptist faith, and loved the Lord, never losing her faith. She was grateful for her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Denny, who diligently took care of her through it all, until the end, her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandson, whom she called "her precious".
Linda is survived by her husband, children, Julie and husband Jeff Brothers, Robert J. "BJ" Denny, grandsons, Jared Brothers, Jeremy Brothers, great-grandson, Enoch Brothers, siblings, Brenda Craig, William and wife Cheryl Hughes, sister-in-law, Emma Hughes and several nieces, nephews and cousins
